1. Kingdom of Heaven (2005)

Balian of Ibelin travels to Jerusalem during the Crusades of the 12th century, and there he finds himself as the defender of the city and its people.

It shows the great warrior and king of Islam, Saladin (or Salahuddin in Arabic) as the great personality that he was. Though the movie marries fiction and historical fact, it maintains the exceptional moral character and military success that Saladin had.

2. The Message (1976)

This epic historical drama chronicles the life and times of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and serves as an introduction to early Islamic history. Hamza, the uncle of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) is central to theme of the movie. It depicts the early years of Islam, when the Prophet (Pbuh) and his early followers were suffering from persecutions, boycott and tremendous hardships by the Meccans, in spreading and practicing the Islamic beliefs. This is until they migrated to Medina and started its own state under the leadership of the Prophet (Pbuh), supported by the protagonist, Hamza.
